What We Do

Ashen Capital is a resourceful, knowledgeable and reliable partner that brings significant value to real estate businesses that need working capital, contacts and expertise, as well as projects where value can be added through funding and dynamic thinking.

The business was founded in 2024 by Alex Price and Steven Wright, who have over 40 years of real estate experience working at various investment management businesses as well as serving as non-executive directors on some of the UKs most active real estate development businesses.

To date, Ashen Capital has invested into projects with anticipated gross value in excess of £100m, across both commercial and residential property.

Corporate Investments

Ashen Capital invests as a corporate shareholder into real estate asset management platforms and / or property development companies. Indicative terms include:

  • Minority equity ownership.
  • Up to £3m working capital and co-investment capital for transactions.
  • Active non-executive support to mentor and advise on how best to mitigate risks and accelerate growth.
  • Business resources such as financial, marketing and capital raising.
  • Access to a wider network of complementary and entrepreneurial businesses.

Property Investments

Ashen Capital funds transactions on a case-by-base basis, making equity or debt investments. Typical investments include:

  • Sectors: Any related to real estate but with a focus on UK wide residential and commercial property in the south-east.
  • Target Investment Size: < £5m per project.
  • Target Return: 15% + p.a.
  • Co-investment from the sponsor.
  • Assets with significant growth potential and multiple exits options.
